THE STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER CLUB OF QLD 12th December 2009 JUDGE – Mr Craig Frazer - HIGHBOURNE NSW 144 ENTRIES
Firstly, I would like to thank the Queensland Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club the opportunity to Judge their December 2009 Championship Show. I thoroughly enjoyed this, my first judging experience and will continue to look back on it, with great memories. Special
“Thanks” must go to Alan and Denise Payne, for amazing
accommodation and hospitality which was second to none, both Alan
and Denise went out of their way to provide the most memorable
weekend possible, prior, during and after the show, especially the
BBQ which was exceptional with great company and good food.
On
the show side I would like to thank the exhibitors for their entry
and support, especially those who travelled a great distance.
A BIG Thank you to my ring steward, assembly steward and
ticket writer who kept things running smoothly on the night as well
as the two young ribbon presenters.
Overall
there were a lot of quality animals and I found the bitches to be
stronger than the dog which to me is very important, without a good
bitch line you fail to produce consistently good animals, proven in
my Best in Show winner.
Mouth faults were limited, only the odd inverted canine and undershot mouths. I think exhibitors could do a little more show training before hand, also preparation on your dogs with fitness, nails, tail trimming and a few dirty dogs after all it is a show, in which it all comes into play making a complete package. Finally,
I would like to thank the exhibitors for the way they accepted my
decisions. BABY
